Why are distances missing, or why does "Within walking distance" say
"Off"?
The app needs location access to measure distances. Open
Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Vancouver Parks
and choose While Using the App. Everything else works without it.
How is walking distance measured?
It's a straight-line distance of 1.5 km from where you are, not a walking route.
Use Get Directions on a park to see the actual route in Apple Maps.
A park's details look wrong or out of date.
Park information comes from the
City of Vancouver Open Data Portal
and is refreshed with app updates. Let us know at the address above. For
problems at a park itself (maintenance, safety, closures), contact the City of
Vancouver through 3-1-1.
Does the app need an internet connection?
Park information is built into the app. Map imagery and directions are loaded
from Apple Maps, so those need a connection.
What does it run on?
iPhone with iOS 17 or later.
